Eth is lower than it was last November and XRP is double what it was last November before the last bull run.
Ethereum is the most widely used crypto in the world with more than 50% of all crypto transactions being on the Ethereum network, has the biggest network of people developing for them and is the most fairly distributed turing complete smart contract platform.
XRP may or may not have connections to the banking industry and is otherwise useless.

Does anyone have anything to add to this? Crypto is a joke.

Because Holo can do everything ether does and more and that 1,000,000 times better. It's just how these things work. ETH has a dominant network effect but if something can do it 1,000,000x better than there's not much incentive for people to hold on to to the dominant network. Would have been a different story if it was just another shitcoin claiming to do it 1000x better or somethign.

Buddy I seriously thought it was bait because I didn't think it was possible for people to be this braindead, but 4chan surprises me once more.

If you actually read the RBC documents ALONE, it clearly states that they intent on using ALL ripple products including Xrapid. Using Xrapid literally creates them real time liquidity, so they don't have to hold billions of dollars in foreign currency sitting in an account doing literally nothing.

It's estimated that Xcurrent saves banks approximately 30%, and then using Xrapid saves them an additional 30%. Why would a bank not cut it's costs by 30% and be more competitive with other banks. To add to that, Holo dapps (including any smart contracts) will be compiled Web Assembly code, with the first main supported development language Rust (and Typescript should work nicely as well). Why is that important? Means that out of the gate there's already a whole ecosystem & toolchain to support Holochain developers. Meanwhile, Ethereum has Solidity, which isn't the worst language ever made - but its still a custom language that only recently has really had enough tooling to be usable. Developer tools are insanely important when it comes to adoption, can't overstate it enough.

My goal is to make money that has high high potential returns with minimal risks. I haven't seen a better choice than xrp at the moment, but I could change my mind in the future. Xrp is ridiculously cheap right now, and with Xrapid launching in less than a month, there is going to be an increase in volume likely driving the price up. In my mind it's all but guaranteed xrp will hit $10 by the end of 2019.

When you look at ripple the company, it's basically too rich to fail at this point. I forget the exact amount, but they have somewhere around 20 billion in cash to spend with absolutely no debt. And they're investing a lot of that money into xpring which basically funds startups that agree to use xrp to solve real world problems.

Well yeah it will because todays price is completely based on market speculation and not actual utility. The current system using swift handles about 5 trillion per day. Even if ripple captures a small % of that market the price is guaranteed to go up because of the inherent nature of Xrapid. A cross border transaction would work by a bank using local fiat to buy xrp off an exchange and then selling it to the foreign fiat. It means they must buy xrp which will drive the price up

$5 trillion per day from swift
Divided by 24 is $208333333333 - per hour
Divided by 60 is $3472222222.22 per minute
Divided by 60 is $57870370.3703 per second

Divide this by total supply of 99 billion is 0.000585c per xrp is needed to perform these transactions per second.
If we multiple this number by 3 to take into account the 1/3 circulating supply we get 0.00175c per xrp is needed.
Now if we become even more generous and say that there must be 50% in reserve in order to allow for safety in transactions and multiple by 2 we get 0.0035c per xrp needed.
Now lets be even more generous and multiple this by 3 as xrp says that it can take 3 seconds for full settlement of a transaction before it recycles and we find ourself at 0.011c per xrp needed.
And remember this is if it replaces all of swifts transactions tomorrow.
