The greed going up was mostly because I needed to earn life-changing amounts of money. I had massive debts to pay off, 40k wouldn't have been enough. I let my winners run, and if I was way up on a coin I'd sell my initial and hold the rest forever, or reinvest into another coin. Once I became debt-free and had all the money I needed I stopped worrying as much. I considered selling everything near the peak, but people talked me into holding and I sold only a third or so. I've held through losing over 50% multiple times in the past, but things crashed harder than predicted this time.

I wouldn't say greed hurt me so much as strategic mistakes. I became busy with life and neglected my portfolio. Before I always cut my losses early, selling off anything that came close to where I bought. This year I really half-assed it. It always felt like "whatever, it'll probably bounce, I'm busy anyway." I also didn't expect "strong coins" like Ethereum to drop quite so hard or fast. The other big mistake was buying more alts on the way down. The "dips" looked really appealing before everything tanked 90%.

In short, always cut your losses early.

With the money I've got in this I've pretty much got close to zero worries, I'm trying to save up more currently to put more in, not sure what I would buy though, but at the same time with less than $500 total in cryto it's probably a good idea to just stick to one coin I imagine.

I'm still a MASSIVE noob, I read the whitepaper for BTC but didn't understand much of the technical stuff, only the stuff concerning why blockchain is supposed to be secure and what the appeal of having a decentralized entity holding your money is.

My ATH was around $40k after putting in $7500. I managed to pick all of the worst things back in September/October. The worst part for me is knowing that I had TRX and /biz/ talked me into selling it. I missed Ven, Eos, Prl. I watched those Confido assholes get 20x and not sell. The only thing that saved me was Coss. Coss turned $600 into $30000.

Anyways my point is that you guys shouldn't stress too much. Some of us managed to miss almost every moon last year.

Your $600k can take you very far in life. Start looking at the gains you made instead of the amount you "lost".
