FAQs
> How is it free?
They invest your unsettled funds after a trade.
Further they have very bare bones features and therefore low overhead.

> When is it coming to my country?
Probably never. So far they only have plans on an Australian beta ( https://robinhood.com/au/).).

> It's been X days, why isn't my account isn't verified yet?
If it takes more than 3 days, try emailing their support. They are very good.

Jesus Christ anon.
Pro tip of the year: never make decisions based on your current holdings. You must consider only if you think it will go up from here or not.
Do you truly see upside potential worth an investment? Assume you never invested in this company in the first place.
If you can't confidently say that you'd put money into this company for the first time today, then just leave it be, go long with your current holdings, and hope that SUNE leads da way for solar in the future.

11 seemed cheap at the time considering it was down from 30. It's hard to tell who's going to lead the way in solar but I do think this company will slowly rise up. The acquisition of Vivint and good news from China today helps.

So my friend gave me a thousand dollars to open a td ameritrade account. He wants to see who can make the most in 2 months. If i win I get to keep 1/2. Seems like the only way to gain is to bet pretty big on just a couple trades since they're $10/trade.

!!!!ANYONE WONDERING ABOUT CPXX!!!

THE CHANCES OF THE STOCK DIPPING ARE PRETTY HIGH AFTER SEEING THE MOVEMENT THE PAST FEW DAYS.

GOOD NEWS IS YOU CAN MOST LIKELY GET A GOOD ENTRY IN TOMORROW AFTERNOON OR THE NEXT WEEK. IF YOU ARE IN CPXX NOW I WOULD CONSIDER TAKING A SMALL LOSS TO GET A BETTER ENTRY.

Decide if you want to trade or invest. Investing is putting your money in a diverse basket of stocks(easiest way is through an ETF).

Trading is buying into a company's stock and hoping it goes up. It's basically making an educated guess and betting against those with way better understanding of the markets.

I don't know, Blackberry has embraced Android and made a phone that is absolutely fire -though its price point doesn't really make it an iPhone killer by any means- but it is probably mostly done as a consumer brand. Cybersecurity and whatever IP it has re: are what's most valuable.

Fucking ASTI and SUNE, man. GIG almost fucked me up too but they're recovering, and F and FCAU have been going up day after day and I'm even ahead on those. ASTI and SUNE had no hope though.

I ain't ashamed of being ignorant. There's way too much fucking data in this world to be aware of even 1% of it, much less parsing, analyzing, and acting upon it.

Diversification is the smart thing to do. It's why I'm twelve dollars up just today.

That's not what diversification means at all.

Diversification is the act of investing in multiple unrelated fields at the same time. For example, healthcare and finance, or semiconductors and utilities.

It's drinking from two wells instead of one. If one well dries up, you'll still have the other well to drink from.

The downside, of course, is the fact that you have to pull on two buckets instead of one. You'll never be able to pull as fast as you could if just have one big bucket, because half of your strength is pulling on another bucket.

But when the market decides to fuck you up the ass, at the very least you won't have lost everything.

In practice however it means investing in uncorrelated assets. Traditionally bonds and equities.
Today, that's not enough, b/c bonds and equities have been highly correlated for years. coupled with near 0 interest. bonds cannot serve. their function.
It was the Yen for a while where everyone whould stick their money during dips and dives. but with negative rates who knows.

They'll be paying out April 18th, with what I am assuming the 23rd of this month will be the due date to get in line for that dividend.

i was in the kik a while back and it seemed ok, but it pisses me off that every time i open kik it has to download all of the messages that have been posted since the last time i had kik open. have to wait 30 seconds every time i open the app (which I use for other things) is annoying.

also i find it turns into people finding one or two guys who *sound* like they know what they're talking about but then when their advice loses people money it just a "welp, you can never predict the market" kind of thing and people keep sucking their dicks. i much prefer the anonymity of this thread over the hero worship in the kik

What you'll have to do is have the shares transferred to you. Call their support and find out how much it'll run. I've never done it through RH, but TDAmeritrade charges $35 (overnight air shipping with signature confirmation.) I'd be surprised if RH can't do it. Alternately, you can open an account with another brokerage and have RH wire the shares over, probably same cost.
