Sign up for bitmex testnet, or better yet if you have an account GET ON

The volume is complete shit and trading is fun, easy challenge , if you're any good you can burn all the scrubs and have a fat boy balance like me

The faucets seem to be down because there's hardly anyone developing for the testnet right now and it's getting shitty.

GET ON, TRADE, HAVE FUN, LEARN

>> No.11099660

The price always lags like $10+ below real BTC because everyone is slow to trade it up, so if you're early it's stupid easy to make testnet btc

kek did you seriously take the time to trade up from 0.1BTC or just fill up from faucets? honestly seems like a misuse of time anon testnet is really just for learning mex's UI and order types

I got 9xbt from faucets and traded up from there

Took 3 months and I'll say I got really lucky a couple times leaving positions open that could have easily been liquidated

Fuck Bitmex. There systems overload whenever things heat up and then you get REKT. I lost 10% of my portfolio there when the price suddenly shifted in spring. I had just placed the order and realized, "wait, this is probably too high to set my limit buy," but was unable to set a stop or move my limit lower because the systems started overloading. They kept overloading until my order triggered, then got liquidated and there wasn't shit I could do to stop it.

Of course, when I contacted them they just said, "Tough luck kid." I will never trade on their site again. Also, their terms of use explicitly state they trade against their traders, meaning you are literally trading on the same system that they use to program and run their bots to trade against you. They, of course, have billions in BTC and use HFT PnD schemes, so good luck.

Fuck Bitmex. There is no faster way to lose your money than Bitmex. Even if you are a good trader, if their systems overload, you still get rekt. There is literally no way to effectively manage risk.

You wanna talk about ACTUAL SCAM BROKERS look at whaleclub.co (DO NOT TRADE HERE)

Straight shammers and have an incredibly shady corporate shell scheme behind them
Bitmex is much more reputable by cmparison

I lost over 6BTC (REAL BTC) to these god damn grease balls
So sorry about your luck or whatever, tuition, cost to play the game, price of entry, call it whatever you want just do your homework and be smarter next time

fair enough. personally i find the testnet's dynamics are not that representative of the real market and i find myself ingraining degenerate habits when i'm making trades with money that i know isn't real. for those reasons if i was trading for fun i'd much prefer to just take small position on the live site, but as you say, to each their own.

>>11100080
lmao you played yourself my dude. the system overloads are aggravating but it's part of the game. why open a position you don't want to fill? why have the leverage hard enough to get liquidated in a single swing? unironically consider hodling

>> No.11100694

>>11100644
You have to have the self disipline or just be very competitive to treat your demo coins like they're real

I find the dynamic reflects swimmingly for that reason exactly; people default to instinctual habits when they're trading and therefore are easy to predict.
Teaches very basic market principals, I just wish more people contributed volume (and smarter people at that) to make it more challenging
