Well, we're officially fucked. How long until the Australian property bubble bursts? What can we do to survive the coming shitstorm?

Pessimistic thinking. This is exactly the right generation faggot. The greatest financial opportunity in history is coming up.

Hodl PM's and crypto and you'll create generational wealth

I don't believe in crypto, and to gain from the upcoming firesale I need money, which I don't have much of because most of my money goes to paying rent.

>>11067497
IMO the AUD is toast, so I'm moving my money out of the country for the next few years, only I don't know where I should move it. Been buying US assets but even that's a bit risky.

"Don't believe in crypto"

You are an absolute fucking retard and were never meant to make it, congrats

Oh and if you believe US assets are safe you're in for a nice surprise, we're more fucked than you probably

In February I attended a party with some
wealthy people who were Sydney property speculators and renovators. They had zero knowledge in economics while having 100% confidence that the Australian housing market was not in a large bubble. All they know is house prices going up for 20 - 30 years straight.

All the warning signs are here. The banks portfolio has something like 70% exposure so they will need to be bailed out if things drop sharply

3 countries you can go to be safe. Almost a dozen more that won't be hit as hard.

Don't get me wrong, I absolutely want the Australian economy to fail. But people have been saying the housing bubble will pop for years now. Is this gonna be one of those endless kick the can down the street situations like the American debt where it's never actually gonna collapse.

>IMO the AUD is toast,

This. AUD is an absolute shitcoin among shitcoins. That piece of shit dropped to fucking 68 cents recently. I'm stuck between the choice of holding AUD which is crashing or holding crypto which is crashing.

>>11067426

Don't believe whatever lies we tell the world. We are a third world nation and a complete shithole, banana republic economy and basically a chinese slave state/colony.

Crypto fundamentally relies on two ideas:

1. That some NEET computer programmers can create something that is untouchable by the government.

2. That governments and/or private corporations won't just copy the work of the developers and make their own private versions of the software that will become de facto standard due to regulation and/or market power.

It's naive to believe either of those things. Effectively it's technoutopianism, and I've seen that attitude fail so many times in the past that I can't get onboard. Case in point: Linux (virtually non-existent on desktops and now funded and used by big businesses like Amazon and Netflix to deliver private goods).

>Oh and if you believe US assets are safe you're in for a nice surprise, we're more fucked than you probably
Why do you say that? I think there's some risk in the US with a heated stock market, but overall I think it's pretty safe and I think the USD is and will remain relatively strong.

>> No.11067661

Other than PFE and JNJ, which US stocks to buy in upcoming firesale?

t. Sydneyite
