Why are so many crypto connoisseurs libertarian or ancap? Where are the socialist/commie ones?

Socialists and commies don't actually care about any specific projects, they just see crypto as a vehicle (or bubble) to escape capitalist wage slavery. Even if it is a capitalist tool, it is a means to an end for them. I think most of them know deep down that their commie utopias will never come to fruition, so they are best off trying to use crypto to become elevated to a higher class. I don't think it's really a secret that most commies come from extremely disadvantaged backgrounds. All they really want is to get ahead, who doesn't?

I’m pretty libertarian but I can see crypto as a potential solution to some big drawbacks in communism that would normally hold it back. A classless society was always difficult because a need for governance even though in a perfect communist set up there should be none. Resources and information would be able to be past more efficiently in block chain format and voting among the populace could potentially be fairer and less fraudulent which hopefully could give everyone a voice and avoid totalitarian states that arose from communist countries in the past.

You guys just may be able to get your way if you play your cards right.

The worst is them complaining about muh inequality. I saw them complaining that if crypto became ubiquitous that the 1% would just be traded for the 1% of crypto. They were trying to come up with solutions for that problem. I think it was a good glimpse of what normies will try to do to crypto. Another thing, they had a sense that cypto was "theirs" and they would be able to fix the world according to their leftist views.

who is going to pay for things like roads, policemen, firemen etc. who is going to enforce private property law? some form of minimal government is needed.

wait hang on.. as i was typing this i just realised you are right. if there is a stable USD crypto and every salary payment on the network has to go through a smart contract, these things can all be automated. every salary payment gets a 2% tax applied to it and sent to a policemen fund or whatever. then a governing body decides where the funds get to be spent. there is no "corruption" because all tx. are visible and if the governing body spent/laundered money, everyone would know about it.

fucking hell. its actually possible. though i doubt it will happen in our lifetime :*(
