Gold, perhaps the volatility index if you are that ahead of the game. Gold will dip with the market initially. I suspect it will dip much less than in 2008, and moon sooner/faster this time. Everyone knows gold moons during the crash from 2008, theyll come running when it does.

Correct. When recession hits, the FED will likely supress rates again pushing bond prices up. Also, in recession/crash most other currencies go down against the dollar so if you do not live in the US you also get a boost from currency movements (if you aren't hedged).
