long term, no, short term, you could have made more money on alts, but the current set of alts won't be the ones to make the most gains next bull run, because thats the whole point of alts, its a different bunch each time because alts are a speculators game only.

maybe ethereum can prove itself and become the first alt to actually matter long term, it's certainly the first alt to matter short/mid-term, and if it survives this bear market (not of money, but of interest) then it has a shot.

I see it like this:

On the one hand - the entire markets rely on BTC, so holding BTC is as good long term as anything, in fact probably a better bet.

On the other hand, for short term gains you'll gain more in alts, but at a higher risk (BTC won't 10x over night, but a shitcoin could).

At least i fucked up with Ethereum bought at 600€ thought it would easiely go up to 1000€ again. instead it drops every fucking month just a little bit so i dont panic sell.

I went all in shitcoins last December (0 BTC) the day before futures came out because I figured there would be a decoupling due to the inevitable price suppression.

I am deeply regretting my decision. Looks like an etf or financial panic will send btc through the roof and alts to the gutter
