I dont see any real competitor's. The white paper explains why other interoperable chains are flawed. Be clear quant is not a chain. Its an interface between all the blockchains and the real world. Making it a secure platform to run any daap on any chain. And then link to external data systems like healthcare records...banks...etc.

The question later is what would be the easiest way for Quant to integrate with exchanges on their own chain. Some sort of Mapp would be a way but this is all speculation.

Fiat->crypto payment gateways are in the works, and there is also hints at creating true decentralized exhcanges on Overledger. There really are a lot of cool things in the pipeline that we just don't gno yet.
