I remember it, good call...bought between the 80-130$ range for a while

Anyways 80% of /biz/ has shit-tier portfolios with chinese ponzi schemes and vaporwave scams, so don't worry if many people fail to understand the tech behind Monero

Yea but just so you remember. A few months ago, monero was at ~$350, and got up to about .035 BTC. During the crash it dropped all the way to 80, or about .012 BTC. It has not fared well during the crash.

But, I do agree getting monero at 80-100 is a pretty big steal.

That's right. But you need to look at the bigger picture. Monero is still outperforming BTC since 2015. There is no reason to believe this will change anytime soon. See pic.

Keep in mind that Monero is outperforming BTC in spite of all the negative news about it (Japanese exchanges delisting it, allegations of money laundering, being associated with darknet markets, etc).

The truth is that, in the end, fundamentals are what matter. Monero is more resistant than Bitcoin, and therefore it will outperform Bitcoin in the long run. Unlike Bitcoin, Monero can't be shut down by governments or miners. THIS is what matters.

Thanks, bro. XMR was my intro to crypto when I fell for the minergate thing. I eventually put together a real rig and mined 3 of them which I sent to polo, but traded for eth. I now realize that xmr will outlive eth

Bought my first monero at 157$, then at 135$ and then bought 2k $ worth at 120. i was lowkey hoping for it to go to low 50's but then i figured as it shot up so hard, 80$ was probably the bottom for the next 5 years
