You know what distribution is, right? You see how the chart bounces all over the place at a certain price level? That's driven by profit taking, fomoing, panic selling when it drops, ETC. As you can see, it has failed to reach a new high. This pretty much guarantees that it's the end of the line. If it was going to continue up, it already would have. The idea is that because x3 ETFs are x3 leveraged, if there is ever a crash of any kind, the ETF will basically go to 0. So you buy very low strike put options on the ETF 2-3 years out as a hedge/speculation betting that if a crash ever happens, you'll win big.
