I consider good vidya to be experiences to be collected. There are tons of unique games out there that can give you unique experiences or valuable experieneces and I think they are worth playing. Note I don't mean putting 1k hours into a fucking MMO. But playing a single player game till completion, is what 10-20 hours, definitely worth it for just a single playthrough. I love collecting these virtual experiences just as much as I love collecting real life experiences.

So your interests changed. Doesn't mean all vidya is useless or shit. Just means you aren't into it. There are plenty of more cerebral titles out there like stealth games, immersive sims, tactics games, grand strat, simulations etc, if you like being creative lots of games have great level editors that you can mess around with and have fun, or if you have the time actually make some legit cool levels on your own and upload them to steam workshop or wherever else the gmae lets you upload them.

But if you aren't into that, and prefer painting as a creative outlet instead of making mods or level editor fun that's fine. Just don't claim video games are literally one step above tv in terms of mentally stimulating. Yeah the current AAA industry probably is close to that, but there are tons of good games out there regardless of wether their chosen genre's interest you or not.

I don't shit on people doing woodworking even though I have no interest in it at all. Too me it just seems like being a furniture maker but with no pay and your furniture is subpar compared to stuff you buy in a shop. A hobby is a hobby man.

also you should probably won't to think, if you don't have a medical condition or mental illness that you aren't trying to overcome then I would argue you don't have any excuse to not find the lowest energy hobby on that wikipedia list and start doing it, and if the thought of thinking enough to do minor tasks is daunting then you should probably talk to a psychiatrist or drink some coffee or something, cut sugar out and eat more meat and vegetables.
