Buy in bulk, buy on sale for food. See if a fren or family member has Costco membership and stock up. Make a list ahead of time and be sure to buy the essentials like toilet paper, razors etc in quantity to save money.
Don't buy clothes unless absolutely necessary, I haven't bought shoes in years. When buying always shop at goodwill or another store like that first. Check Craigslist or platos closet for cheap second hand stuff.
Stop smoking and using drugs if you do
Stop gambling if you do
Cut down or severely limit alcohol
You don't need shampoo or soap. Check reddit/nopoo. Wash hair one more time with shampoo and then throw it away. Replace with water only rinses or use baking soda/apple cider vinegar or one of the other cheaper methods
See if you can get a cheaper cell phone plan
Cut cable TV if you have it
Don't spend on vidya
If you get gifts for birthdays or holidays always ask for essentials or amazon/Walmart gift cards to cut your costs

Also consider increasing your income via a side hustle. Uber might make sense depending on your area and your car. Or wait tables, something to boost your income. Obviously you want to have more coming in and less going out. Avoid late fees, interest, and penalties like the fucking plague. Pay down debt as fast as possible.

Tell your mom that your girlfriends cooking is terrible.
She will bring over a shit ton of ready to eat delicious food.
Also you probably won't be lying.
Except about having a girlfriend.

Don't waste money. It's pretty simple. I spend $50 a week on food, and eat well, but i know how to cook. I buy decent clothes that are made well, and can sew simple things to make repairs if I rip something. I take care of my clothes by washing them regularly. I buy clothes that fit properly, because I'm not a fatty.

Generic doesn't always mean bad. Logos cost you money. I buy a cheaper brand of coffee, that's regional, but better quality than the name brands. I don't buy Windex, I make my own - $0.10 of alcohol, vinegar, dish soap, and water makes 4 times as much as a $5 spray bottle of blue shit - and mine works better.
I buy quality, not name brands. I do research. I listen to customer reviews, not paid reviews. I don't wear anything with a logo. I buy last year's model, at a steep discount.
I don't waste money. Do the same.

Cheap healthy sources of protein and fat:

- eggs: eat a lot of them.
- canned fish (bit of tuna, lot of sardines/mackerel because less mercury)

Cheaps grains containing high % of proteins:
- red lentils, black/red beans. Can mix with basmati rice for complete proteins (dont buy white or brown rice, too much arsenic).

Good source of fat:
-avocado
-almonds
-100% peanut butter
-extra virgin olive oil
- >80% cocoa chocolate

Greens:
- brocoli, collards, kale, spinach, etc.

Start eating oatmeal and lentils/beans. Cheap as shit and good for your health.

The general principle for saving money is to only buy what you need and not buying what you want.

Example of a nice cheap meal: pasta with tuna sauce. Super easy, cheap and healthy.

Boil the pasta.
Prepare the sauce in a pan: throw a bottle/can of 100% tomato sauce, canned tuna, spinach. (2-5 min).

Done.

Takes a few minutes and it makes a cheap healthy meal. You have your carbs/proteins/healthy fat and vegetables.

Everyone is talking about food. I will discuss clothing.
Just dont be a retard and buy expensive clothes. Any shirt over $7 is too much. Any pair of pants over $20 is too much. Any pair of shoes over $30 is top much (work boots for actual physical labor not included).
Unless you are going truly premium with fully bespoke/tailored high quality articles, then just buy the absolute cheapest you can find. Sorry to ruin it for the wannabes out there but the $120 jordans come from the same Chinese sweatshop factory as the $20 Walmart sneakers that come with Dr Scholls inserts. And I dont think its rocket science that brands like SUPREME just print their logo on the same low quality cotton that froot of the loom does.

I eat 200g of microwave broccoli each day. It is strange how good it tastes. I always thought that healthy couldn't taste decent/good. I guess I was wrong.

I live in Australia so just translate the product names.

I live off of Mi Goreng noodles which I buy in bulk for extremely cheap. I get $3 home brand Dim Sim Chinese dumplings that I steam. I also buy dirt cheap frozen vegetables to steam along side the dumplings. Combine that in a bowel and you actually have a HALF-decent meal. Vary the sauces each night to keep it enjoyable.

If you throw in some minced garlic (the shitty one in a jar) and maybe half an onion you’ve accidentally made yourself a tuna puttanesca. Throw in some tomato pasta (what you base pizzas with) if you can afford to.

Buy in bulk, people never factor in the cost of transportation.

Learn how to fix shit.

>> No.10835392

if you have a market nearby you can try to get veggies. carrots and shit does not cost much (idk how it works where you live) and will be good for you. use second hands, if you have money to spare then try to get army surplus, at least grade b stuff, for example, people recommend getting army boots because they wont break. also you can find many reliable clothes in army surplus stores, or on ebay.

Yeah, also I eat a little bit of concentrated tomato paste several times a week. The high amount of lycopene in it is one of the most potent antioxydant.
