Holochain is stupid. If you remove global consensus and one public, immutable ledger from your protocol you don't have a blockchain anymore - and you also lose all the unique properties that make blockchains useful and valuable in the first place. If everyone has his own chain and there is no consensus nor anonymity you are essentially better off using a relational database. Think about this for a moment.

kek what's your point? everyone knows that it's not a blockchain, that's why it has huge advantages over blockchain for many purposes. there's no global consensus which makes it possible to build so-called agent-centric apps uuuhhh... nvm. kek. i realised you were just trolling. got eeem kekekekekekek

Right holochain is using technology that is actually old af. DHT and hashchains have been around for 15+ years. The team remembered this boomer shit and just jumped on the blockchain bandwagon to get their share of the dumb money.

idc what they did in their spare time. i just know that one of holochains founders is a small-time programmer who developed one single chat and e-learning software for schools during his career, what a genius. their professional credentials are everything but impressive, sorry to dissapoint you folks.

Based OP. I also never understood how Holo's model with private ledgers is of any use. But i am not surprised some biztards fell for it, it's always the same on here.

i didn't say i never held any HOT, i actually had like ~90M / 20ETH from ICO before i dumped. i just said you gotta be either retarded or deluded af to still hold this shitcoin. but there are quite a few bagholders who STILL think this will magically bull during the multi-year bear market we are currently in. my prediction: all alts including HOT will keep bleeding for quite somd time, prepare for further red dildos (pic related)

>You don't have a blockchain

Truth. That's kinda the whole point.

>No consensus

Ah, not so. Cryptographic proofs still hold up. Everyone doesn't need to know what everyone else is doing at all times - you just need a way to verify it if necessary.

>No anonymity

And you do on a blockchain? You could also implement a token with ring signatures and other privacy features on Holochain, same as Monero implements them in a blockchain.

why would anybody use holo over monero, rajeesh?

>t. Thinks pajeets hold HOT
>t. Has 0 imagination, probably a nigger

Let's say I built a totally decentralised social media platform to avoid censorship. Like, I dunno, Gab except not a honeypot. And let's say my users want to be anonymous, for obvious reasons. I could utilise a ring-signature mechanism to obfuscate posters while retaining the ability to verify a given user. Ie, you couldn't connect the IP address of a poster to a specific post, even if they had logins & handles. You could create a truly anonymous chan for example using a similar method. Oh, and naturally it also means I could implement my own application-specific currency for whatever reason, like allowing a DNM to exist inside the application without all that messy TOR business. Make sense Tyrone?
