>down 90% from ATH
>xrapid quickly gaining adoption
>major exchanges implementing ripple liquidity

Why is this not a good buy right now?

The last I remember, people were saying that XRP tokens aren't actually used for anything?

the fud is that now suddenly xrapid has nothing to do with xrp and that it is 90% down from ath, thus it is going down more and will reach 0

Not to mention it's becoming more decentralized by the day.

XRP is fundemtally flawed

It's administered by a for profit company. No one is going to trust those fags with their money.

Not directly. xRapid involves a buy and sell of XRP on two different exchanges with a movement of XRP in between. So you can look at exchange trade volume and on-ledger trade volume, but there's no way to be certain if it was xRapid. This is a good thing though for the privacy of the banks/remittance companies who will be using it.

Ripple doesn't "administer" the network. If they vanished into thin air, there are over 700 nodes that will make sure the network continues operating. And I'm not a psycho leftist, so I don't care if there is a company making a profit.

Over the course of the next weeks two things will happen that will end in another ATH for xrp.
There will be an official sentence that will declare xrp not a security once and for all.
There will be at least one big bank that officially states that it is actively using xrp
Everybody on /biz is still hating on xrp, but some of you are alright. And you guys should know what you have to do.....

SWIFT was never a for-profit company in it's life. It was and still is a 'co-op' organization

>A cooperative (also known as co-operative, co-op, or coop) is "an autonomous association of persons united voluntarily to meet their common economic, social, and cultural needs and aspirations through a jointly-owned and democratically-controlled enterprise".[1] Cooperatives may include:

>non-profit community organizations
>businesses owned and managed by the people who use their services (a consumer cooperative)
>organisations managed by the people who work there (worker cooperatives)
>organisations managed by the people to whom they provide accommodation (housing cooperatives)
>hybrids such as worker cooperatives that are also consumer cooperatives or credit unions
>multi-stakeholder cooperatives such as those that bring together civil society and local actors to deliver community needs
>second- and third-tier cooperatives whose members are other cooperatives

For Ripple to become that or non-profit, you're talking about a lot of changes that may jeopardize it's management.
