Can you describe why?
I tried to understand the hype and listen / watched the personality class lectures while commuting.
He's a great speaker, and I'd certainly try to mimic his fast reaction / comebacks whenever he argues SJWs.
But he also tells a lot of incorrect / inaccurate things. From what I recall :
>Quite loose in his handling of statistics (especially confidence margins and abusive hypothesis)
>This goes with above, but more often than not, he calls the "median" when he means the "mode"
>Describes an anecdote, then derives a general rule from it (it might be just poor presentation because he tells the same stories over and over, but still worth noticing when listening for the first time)
>Some of the anecdotes are just "urban legends" e.g. said the qwerty keyboard layout was made to slow down the typist. it was actually constructed iteratively from the morse code times (lot of morse messages included dates, to the string "190*" was often typed. There were no "1" nor "0" back then, instead they used "I" and "O". That7s why the I 0 and 9 keys are close together for example. Add a lot of arbitrary conventions (i.e. no publications) from manufacturers, low public interest and you have urban legends)
>His understanding of programming is also loose yet he uses it as an illustrative example quite often.
I might be too anal with this review of the lectures negative points, but when he talks wrongly about things I'm knowledgeable about, why should I believe he's accurate when he discusses things I don't know about?

he's quite literally a retard philosophically. the only thing worth considering and mulling over is his idea of calling something 'true' only insomuch as it sustains human life, but even that is something that nietzsche presaged. his ideas of what's happening in philosophy departments, anyway, are very stupid. he's good at researching psychology and little else.

>> No.10686155

The other stuff in that video was even more retarded.

Like, yeah dude, a machinist or a tool maker is in lower IQ bracket than a fucking meme "retail manager". ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME

>but when he talks wrongly about things I'm knowledgeable about, why should I believe he's accurate when he discusses things I don't know about
Because when he talks about programming, he's going out of his way to make a comparison with something that is true or that makes sense to make a point, it's as if I use a character from Game of thrones to make a point about human interaction or something, it's not even anecdotal, since those characters don't exist, but it's still used in conversations.
The reason why I like his talks is because he talks about many things I thought about under DXM or sober and he puts them in better words than I could have, and he tries his best to explain things with metaphors, since you can't even explain evolutionary psychology shit to the normal normie when in 4chan it looks so obvious, but he talks about more complex things that really need to be "colorized" and sometimes an inaccurate comparison to make a point.
Then there is a reason I think he's genuine, he literally cried on Joe rogan when he talked about some beaner, I think he cares about the truth and how it affects people's lives, I also think he knows about the jews but considers it as a toxic truth, as if the normies learns about the jews they won't be able to do shit about it but become spiteful like us here, so I think he doesn't tlak about it and goes with the agreed upon global psyop.

The problem lies in the definition of what an IQ test is supposed to measure.
Intelligence means different things to different people and is my opinion not something you can define.

So if an IQ test is defined to measure problem solving abilities it just measures those.
I guess there is a strong correlation though between IQ measured with those tests and success (what is success though...) so they are better than nothing as a prediction tool, but with emphasis on the "better than nothing part".
I personally think it is a pseudo science but I maybe am not versed enough in the subject idk.
