yep. Roger is going for ICOs remember what ICOs did to ETH... They broke ETH.. now ETH below 300 b/c every ICO is exit scamming. Jihan wants an IPO. You'd think a big mining company like Bitmain would be smart enough to stick with what works... but Roger managed to convince Jihan into drinking the cashie lemonade. Now they need a bail out from IPO investors or risk going to shit. Bitmain is stuck with BCASH bags that they cannot liquidate b/c it would send the BCASH market down into a death spiral. Ironically the only thing keeping Bitmain a float right now is selling their mined BTC and they simply don't have enough in reserve to keep it up. Shit is hilarious. BCASH forks can't even save the cashies. Nobody wants BCASH nor wants to use BCASH no matter how much they try to shove it down everyones throats.

Bitmain have disclosed how much crypto they hold (first column).

As you can see the BTC has actually decreased while BCH increased greatly. They are mining BTC but turning it into BCH as soon as they can.

At this point I can't see how anybody can't see the flippening coming. The writing is not on the wall, it's all over the sky at this point.

>> No.10679597

>>10679518
If another dragon slayer operation happens that gets too big, BTC will find a way to emergency hard-fork. There's too much money involved to let it run just like that. This could also be used to centralize mining power in their own hands, since the general public won't care.

But a final manufactured BCH pump and dump hash attack combined with shorting BTC could be a good exit.

>> No.10679630

>>10679597
core cant even handle a regular hard fork and you think they can pull off an emergency one? yeah ok.

>> No.10679718

>>10679630
The most satisfying explanation on this is that a regular hard fork isn't happening because they don't *want* one. As the conspiracy theory goes, and there's a lot of merit to it, it would go against their business model to hard-fork for say a block-size increase.

But an existential threat to BTC would certainly make them consider a fork, and in fact they've stated before (IIRC in the context of SegWit2x?!) that they're prepared to change the mining algorithm if need to.

It's in their contract. They literally have to call the real Bitcoin 'bcash' or else they don't get paid.

It's fucking annoying as fuck but eventually Bitcoin (BCH) will retake the market as it is the coin which created this entire market in the first place.

>"another dragon slayer operation", what are you trying to say?

Did you really miss the November 2017 combined BCH pump, BTC dump, and BTC transaction backlog and fees explosion, that came to be known as "Operation Dragonslayer" and was actually announced by insider posts well in advance?

https://www.yours.org/content/is-operation-dragon-slayer-fact--or-fiction--73821081136a

Another one of these could involve, again:
- Bitmain using its hash power to pump BTC transaction backlog and fees
- Exchange price movements by trading BTC for BCH

Actually that's shitty article I didn't read before posting, disregard that.

It's really about this text:

https://pastebin.com/dQ7M2CtP

Which coined the term "Dragonslayer" and, as I recall, was indeed posted on some website weeks before that November 2017 attack occurred.

Does anyone have the URL of the original site handy, should be available on the web archive?

Hate to post again, but that pastebin is also some fake garbage.

This was the original article that predicted the November 2017 flippening attack:

https://theflippening.github.io/open-letter-to-bitcoin-miners-from-another-miner/

The term "Dragonslayer" was apparently introduced later.

>> No.10680395

>>10680356
See the other post, this is the real website that predicted the attack, it's not just a conspiracy:

https://theflippening.github.io/open-letter-to-bitcoin-miners-from-another-miner/

So yes, that failed, but Bitmain and other miners could make another such pump and dump if their finances aren't working out.
