Hey /biz/, do you guys know if there are any ways to make money from home online so I don't have to leave my house. I don't want to spend money on gas or deal with people face to face anymore. I'm tired of the wage cuck life so I'm back at home. I've been watching videos but only made 0.05 cents in an hour. I have a mutual fund that is only worth $1053.00 dollars, but it's growing slowly and I also have a roth IRA with Betterment. I can draw ok digitally so maybe commissions on my art? I have great video edit skills, I also have a youtube channel I'm working hard on. Do any of you guys make money online? Also one more thing, I'm in school for graphic design because I'm more right brained and love creating things. I'm wondering if should I change majors to something related to finance and business? I cashed out my bitcoin because I don't have faith in it. I really have come to the end of the road. Please help, my terrible credit score keeps me awake at night, cash only was a mistake...

I'm pretty mainly looking, I wouldn't be a good trap. I don't plan on selling my body. That's the final resort then it's gun in the mouth time.

That youtube channel most likely will not take off, sorry.

I've had friends in art school - if you want money stay away from traditional art like painting/hand drawing on paper etc Consider learning about UX but that will bring you closer to programming as you will need to use css and html. Also drop that stupid right'left brain nonsense it's not how it works.

There are many way to make money online.

Easiest with your skills would be signing up for one of those freelance markets and offering video editing/drawing services, but finding good clients with well paid jobs is a hard skill to learn. Going without "markets" is harder but can bring more money and better jobs - it really helps if you know some people in some industry who need your help from time to time.

Supposedly some people make money from commissions where they draw movie/anime characters according to the desire of buyer.

There is some of demand for people who can edit photos - like remove pimples etc.

I've seen many job openings that required design skills but actual job was doing something more - like writing, research/getting materials and online marketing... . Look for "redactors" and content creators for blogs and online magazines.

it's nearly impossible to find decent pay for front-end development or free lance graphic work. there is always some third worlder in Brazil or Russia or Poland who will build an entire website for like $500 or do logo design for like $20

By definition Poland and Russia are second world, but apart from that you are correct.

Just as >>10637823 pointed out making money online is not that easy. Do you have any job/experience/contacts in real life related to graphic design work? Ideal would be negotiating with current employer if they could let you work remote or finding a company that hires remotely. I know you wanted to avoid face to face contact, but that is what could really help your freelancing career - maybe try asking around in your area if ad/media agencies don't need someone extra to help with the load. Or try looking for partnership with people that will need someone with this skill - maybe some startup or aspiring youtuber lol. Just avoid to working for free. The advantage here is that they are meeting you the real person who actually knows English and not some random online wannabe designer. You also need to learn how to sell and what jobs to avoid...

Other alternative is putting your work in online stock markets, but some people are unable to figure out what sell and why (hint: look not only at what competition is posting but what market/buyers would actually need) and will never make any money this way, also it can grow slow.
