Im 100% in XLM. I actually did research before I bought. It was my first and only purchase of crypto. I did however fomoed in as you say, with everything I got :S. I was considering other cryptos too but wanted to go all in one project because my funds were somewhat limited to make it really big. Was considering ADA strongly too.
