Consistant updates, acknowledgement of weakness and a team that's pushing onward. Trust in the Tech and get on Board.

i'm guessing that testnet is where anyone can fuck with it and devnet is patching any sort of bugs that might be present?

>> No.10594955

To be honest, I'm not really that interested in the price right now, the tech is what appeals to me (I already deleted my blockfolio). I believe in the project, so the day to day price is of little concern to me. Besides, the entire market has suffered so this was to be expected... imagine you sold etherium at $10, and how you would be kicking yourself for that. I would argue this is a much needed correction and is bullish for the longer term. That said, I wish my pay check would come in sooner so I could make use of these panic sellers. Hopefully the price will stay down and I'll have some time to accumulate. For now the whales are keeping it low and there's a lot of baseless fud going around, most of it started by buyers who want to get in cheaper. The fundamentals are still great, the partnerships are legit, and there are some big updates coming soon, so just keep accumulating and check back this time next year!

Ark gives anyone the tools to launch their own blockchain tailored for their specific needs. With the most smart contract languages, sdks, apis, plugins and a modular approach to building and managing chains blockchain is made simple and easy.
To add, interoperability is universal, any and all cryptos can be exchanged and smart contracts can even be executed across chains.
So now you ask why use Ark? Well, assuming Ark has the best blockchain deployment, development and managing tools one must assume adoption of Ark services. The beautiful thing is that an end user only needs the Ark wallet and a few Ark coins to have access to all these newly built blockchain based services, contracts and dapps.
The wallet seamlessly executes contracts, loads fancy dapp GUI in wallet, performs coin swaps. No more remembering hundreds of private keys and phrases, no more visiting the exchange every time you need to swap a coin.

Ark is the future, some of you are enlightened enough to see it. Others buy link.

FUD
Its a coin
>Network fees - Transactions fees (dynamic & often refunded through delegate rewards), delegate registration, voting / un-voting & second passphrase registration
>Cross chain coin swaps & attributed fees i.e. ARK - ETH small fee to carry out the contract execution
>Currency - A currency to be used on the ecosystem and the whole crypto market. Hold Ark and interact with multiple dapps and smart contracts, without ever needing to actively hold those coins/tokens.
>Store of value - Ark can be taken as a Store of value, volatility reduced thanks to widespread adoption and utility. Holders would spend the interest gained from DPoS rewards keeping the bulk of their stack untouched
>Funding - ICO's & escrow type services

ohhh. I get it. Instead of going to an exchange to swap a coin. We'll just have to use the ARK exchange to swap a coin.

So innovative!

Hi guys - I just signed up to four chan after my teenage nephew told me about it, otherwise for getting the latest feedback I also like to use Reddit!

Anyway I was looking to get "in" on some of these crypto projects after being an outsider for a while, and this project looks like an interesting investment to put a few grand into as an experiment-

From what I can gather they are trying to connect other blockchains somehow (not sure if anyone knows). Does anybody have any updates from the project on their timeline?

It looks like a good price to start anyway, maybe a few k now and a few k later? What do you guys usually do?

ARK is used for transactions on the main Ark network. That network runs the main "ARK VM" (scare quotes because it's not fully Turing-complete; it's solely used for decentralized token swaps). Hence, the main Ark chain serves as the mediator and source of truth for exchanges across chains, and ARK is used to fuel that blockchain.

Some of you may be thinking, well theres a lot of ifs here if adoption of Ark occurs then it moons, but what if it doesn't?
Not a problem, Ark's unique capabilities means users need to only hold Ark to interact and carry out external chain contracts. That means users can execute a decentralised location point of interest on the ETH network and automatically carry out a contract execution on another. In one fell swoop a user can visit and interact with multiple chains, thanks to readable, executable information stored in the block headers of transactions.
The wallet has tabs for various functions, ranging from voting for delegates, exchanging coins / tokens to dapps being loaded and viewed in the wallet.
Decentralised oracles are made possible through the use of ACES - an Ark funded community project has rendered the entire link project obsolete and outdated, before a product has even launched.

Notice how nobody argues against Arks superior blockchain creation, development and managing services / tools. All that's left now is some murky FUD regarding tokenomincs. In short stupidity posting.

Well, the truth is, you dont need to hold Ark. You could hold anyone of the tokens that are launched in the Ark sidechains. This is akin to keeping your savings in Amazon gift cards rather than cash, it's easier to buy things with Amazon gift cards on Amazon's platform. But, you can buy anything with cash. So, in answer to your question, Ark gets its value from being transferrable between any of its sidechains, and the entry point for those chains. You only need to hold Ark to use any of the sidechains connected to it, just like you only need dollars to buy from a shop.
