Trade with smaller amounts to learn the market. You will probably still get fucked at some point. Use daily and weekly candles to inform any trade. Or just make buys during dips of BTC and HODL.

I fuck up every time I try to trade.

here's my experience. Look for great projects undervalued and invest and try to forget about them. BUT you got to recognise the market cycles and know that there is a time to hold and a time to sell. Selling is the hard bit cause you think something on a high will go on forever.

So yeah HOLD but be aware of major peaks and lows and the market generally.

Meanwhile, it's stupid easy to make money on a crypto bull market using technical analysis (just use an EMA as a stop loss and buy signal, complement with a momentum indicator like RSI if you are feeling fancy)
