Syria is a lost cause. Assad has one and is letting the Russians rebuild the country. Russian banks and construction companies are going to profit heavily and Western companies are excluded.

However Venezuela looks hopeful. With the failing socialist government it's likely they might resort to mass privatization like a lot of failed socialist states do. If they do it's likely American companies are going to move in to reap some of the low valued assets. How does one fine out which companies are doing so since it is technically all public info.

I can't even find which corporations specifically bought out Iraqs privatized banks and oil fields in 2009 and that is all public info. So where does one fine out the specifics of this.

well OP, venezuela was socialist but there are plenty of international businesses operating in the country in a capitalistic manner. almost all of these companies have moved their operations to neighboring countries in latin america as they await the complete destruction of the country. illegal means like smuggling goods across the border to Colombia or out to sea was very common just last year. i know for a fact that Galderma was sending goods to Colombia and selling products from their warehouse on the black market and the money was being washed by any means possible to salvage insane losses. just wait and see what the big players do when shit starts to sort out. jump in and take a risk before everything has settled and that's where the advantage is. consider reading a book Crisis Investing

Look at US companies that relocated to Puerto Rico to take advantage of their amazing tax advantages. These CEOs might be looking at Venezuela in the future.

That was members of congress. Sometimes as transparent as being on the boards of corporations.

My dad works for th Bolivian government. He tells me a lot of people steal money from the poor (he is one of them) then save little by little and latter disappear from the country and move to Europe or the US. He sent me to the US instead but he didn’t expect me to get naturalized with my mom lol
