Bunch of 4channers tried to force it as /ourcoin/, during the presale ico phase of chainlink there was a minimum requirement of 300eth to enter the presale. Bunch of anons pooled up together and shared presale links to fill them with their eth.

Coin continued to get shilled and pumped up and hyped for the sibios event that link was attended, whole event turned out to be a flop chainlink had a presentation in a room of like 18 people next to the public toilets, literally no news or partnership came from the event and the coin dumped back to below ico prices and created 1000's of bagholder anons.

Now during this alt bull run lots of anons and took advantage of this and shilling this coin to all the new money and newfags that joined in december and don't know this story.

The coin is HEAVILY manipulated and the supply is dried up from huge whales who accumulated below ICO price to create a artificially lower supply (a lot like REQ) and these people have so much room to dump on all of you faggots to still be in profit when the time comes.

In regards to actual project that chainlink aiming to achieve it's nothing more than a basic json parser for smart contracts, would take like a day to add to ethereum by itself.. literally making links whole concept pointless and definitely no need for a token. Would take a lot longer to get it working with bitcoin but the bitcoin core devs would be able to work out the solution a lot quicker than chainlink will, think that's something worth noting that literally nothing is completed and you're literally just buying a whitepaper, they have only 2 developers and they don't communicate at all with no proven background on either, in fact sergey was involved in a project before chainlink called NxT that he since been abandoned until it was took over by a new developer team

this, I saw the LINK meme in its infancy. It had great potential, but was unheard of at the time "The Path Of Light Raid" took form. The very first posts on /pol/ were brought to my attention by an INTEL associate. I watched as it coalesced in to quite the Frankenstein. When it was ready, "They" picked the most obscure coin they could, for maximum "Keks". Think College Frat Raid mentality, and you will be inside "Their" heads. "They" then bought in, and showed up on /biz/ en masse. I followed them. I posted many warnings on /biz/, even as it rocketed. When "They" decided it was enough, and I had presented so much evidence of the scam, they bailed, dumping their bags on /biz/. It was a sad thing for me to watch, and even sadder to see /biz/ turning on itself. The /biz/tards who got dumped on then began shilling the coin themselves in the same fashion they had seen, which was so succsessfull. /biz/ thought it was the OG shillers, but it was not, merely the second round of bagholders.. This process continued through a series of 6 different set of bagholders, until it is where it is today. It will always have that blight upon it. The only way for it to EVER recover is for someone to buy it, bring in new Devs, and rebrand it. This will happen, but it is in the distant future atm. I will give you somewhat of a tripcode on a post, so you will know I was there. I was the one who was always posting "There will come a day when being "Chainlinked" is synonomous with being scammed in crypto. You will one day look up "Chainlinked" on Wikipedia, and there will be an entire page on the scam". I'm sorry Bro, I tried to warn you.

I unironically market dumped my stack of LINK yesterday and put it all into Mobius. I'm sorry but the lack of updates, developments, communication and quite frankly the tasteless overshilling of LINK around these parts has ruined my enthusiasm for it. I don't really think Sergey has his heart in Chainlink anymore. Something changed along the way, I can feel his enthusiasm for it waning similarly to how he just up and left NXT like a thief in the night. He probably had a great time raising millions of dollars with the ICO and being a famous celebrity on biz, and I'm happy for him, I really am, but he lost his hunger for success along the way and it got replaced by hunger for Big Macs. The Bitcoin superconference will likely be a total shitshow. I've no doubt the price will dump within minutes of Sergey staggering off stage after another boring regurgitated speech where he doesn't even mention Chainlink. I really enjoyed holding LINK, it was a pretty cool bag to carry for a while, but Mobius is definitely the new wave of oracle tech and has all the momentum now. I can't let it pass me by.

Not trying to fud but I have a serious concern with Chainlink. Chainlink has been on Ropsten for a month and everyone was expecting all these potential partners to test on the test net. The team even told people to keep an eye on Ropsten to see the customers using the network. Well for 3 weeks the only transactions on Ropsten have been regular peeps taking the 100 Ropsten link from the faucet. There has been absolutely no requests for data. In fact, someone asked Thomas why and then Thomas made a run to show it works. Well I see Thomas's request for data but it is the only one.

Why is there no testing on Ropsten? Where are all these customers/partners/devs that are supposed to be drooling at the potential of Chainlink? I know the lack of communication, lack of updates from Sergey, lack of social media presence, increasing competition from large players are all red flags but this may be the largest.

Does anyone actually want to use Chainlink Network?

For more than 6 months, MODS allow more than 10 link threads up on biz at any time. It's blatantly against board rules. The mods are the bagholders.

This thread is the epitome of Link delusion, the result of a sick mind. Loosely related extrapolations passed off as some kind of "proof" that the content of the information is "secretly" referring to Chainlink. This mental illness is the result of months of collective delusion, believing that billion dollar companies are under strict NDA's, believing in the "insider" LARP's, believing that randomly generated numbers on a Somalian LGBTQ Support Group BBS are literal "magick". The fact is the only confirmed partners are a few small projects, and the confirmation of these partnerships is still dubious at best.

what the fuck did you say about chainlink you little bitch? i'll have you know i've been in crypto since 2016, i have more money than your father, your grandfather, and your grandfather's father put to fucking gether, and 100% of it, yes 100 FUCKING percent of it is in chainlink. why? because it's the real FUCKING deal. don't you EVER talk shit about link again. sergey is THIRTY TIMES the man you'll ever be. who the fuck are you even? some shitbag on 4chan? eat shit. you are nothing. chainlink is everything. peace out.

It will take at least a few years for the mainnet to mature and work out the bugs. You will all have nothing to look forward to but an empty network and a slow trickle of fixes coming in for the bug bounty period. 99% of you have no experience or insight into software development, much less the ins and outs of development in the Blockchain space. Most of you couldn't explain in simple terms what a Blockchain is, what bitcoin is, what ethereum is, or what an "immutable decentralized network" is (tip, it doesn't exist as of this writing).

You are invested in technology you don't understand, holding out for a mathematically impossible return on that investment, and your primary source of information is anons with giant bags who are going to dump on you for their own amusement. $1.50 EOY is a bullish prediction. $10-$20 per link by 2021 is a bullish prediction. You will deserve the fate you are dealt if you continue to steep in these deep delusions.

I wouldn't call Chainlink an outright scam, but there are many red flags indeed. If you look up their team it only lists two people and no advisers at all. Also there is no roadmap and the communication about the project's progress is basically non-existant. Furthermore many other crypto projects work on oracles, like Aeternity, Iota's Qubic or Mobius and all of those have more people working on the goal.

>> No.10473564

It has been up until now a 'promising project'.

However this failure to achieve the trademark is a red flag for me. They seemed to have gone with decent lawyers who obviously didn't convince Sergey otherwise against this waste of resources and money (or maybe he just didn't listen!)

Did they SERIOUSLY expect to trademark the term 'SmartContract' ? A term that any crypto puddlebrain knows Nick Szabo coined over 20 years ago. Did Mark Oblad, the legal mastermind of smart contracts decide not to scratch his Dr Evil fucking head and halt Sergey from making this terrible move.

Also did you see the state of the fucking attachments in the application? Minimal fucking effort..... It was just screenshots of Crypto Geek.com and the SC.com website with a few duplications. The lack of effort is unbelievable for a project who prides itself on being for a 'corporate' audience. Another red flag. Of course the judge denied it.

Watch how embarrassing this episode will become as the wider Ethereum and crypto communities find out about it. As if the token wasn't a laughing stock already, every other crypto will be mispelling Smart Contract as smartcontract just to rub it in the faces of Link bag holders.

I mean is he going to try and trademark 'cryptocurrencies' next?! or what about fucking 'cheeseburgers'?! At his best he is hopeful at his least he is naive and distracted as a leader.

We have visibility from github that Steve and Dimitri are working there butts off (Until the past few days). Put them in charge! It might give the project a better chance, they at least have some apparent useful skills, and the linkpool.io guys said on reddit that theyare very impressed with how Steve operates. (Didn't mention Serge)

I am a Link bag holder btw but I'm getting out at the next pump, this was one naive business decision at the end of a long list since Sergey decided to run his own businesses.

I'm sorry Bro but you're totally delusional if you think that the autists on /biz/ will have any significant influence on the outcome of a project of this magnitude. The majority of posts here are from a bunch of fucking half wits that inadvertently latched onto something ground breaking. Do you really think that the giant corporations that will ultimately make or break Chainlink give a fuck about a bunch of pajeets who both shill and fud depending on what side of bed they got out of, on any given day ?You're giving these morons way too much credit.
