Is there any good reason for buying alts over Bitcoin?
It's the dominant force literally dictating the market. What Bitcoin does, every other coin does too.
Except now when BTC is going up and alts are still stagnating lmao

top 10 alts have outperformed BTC in the last 3 years

alts are better at everything and goes up 500% in a day sometimes, why would u still be in bitcorn is the real question

Alts are significantly higher risk, but also much, much higher gain. The problem with them is they dip 80% of the year. If you're going to buy alts, though, don't try and knife catch or guess the bottom. Wait for them to hit their historical bottoms instead.

For example, DOGE bottoms out at 15 sats. This would be the time to buy DOGE, not at 75 sats when you think it might bounce, then it dips another 80% over the next 9 months while you become a bagholder.

Also, never buy anything very heavily shilled on /biz/ unless it already has a solid, well established reputation outside of /biz/. Shit like TRTL and LINK are complete scams. Don't fall in for these scamcoins. XLM and BAT, on the other hand, while also shilled on /biz/, had solid reps and tech outside the community, so those were safer bets when /biz/ was shilling them prior to the coinbase announcement.

Alts outperform BTC, all that matters is entries and exits

Never seen it hyped outside of /biz/. Wouldn't trust it.

They might not have a true bottom, but a lot definitely have a historical bottom. Like DOGE hasn't gone under 15 sats in 5 years. I'd call that a fairly safe buy. The only way it would likely go any lower than a couple sats under that is if the bubble bursts, and then its all pretty fucked anyways, including Bitcoin.

Lol no, give me data on that.
dogecoin was a top 10 alt at one point, it was in position number 2.
Shitcoins are a lottery. They are just a way to get more BTC

These are the reasons.

If you buy BTC you are probably just a lazy casual trader at this point. Even for a long term hold it is total shit. With more and more ways for FIAT to enter the market, BTC's days of dominance will be coming to a close.

> The whole point of trade alts has always been to gain more Bitcoin.

> Only a few alts will be around long term (ETH, XMR) serving specific use cases but they are not going to outperform Bitcoin long term.

> This is digital, censorship resistant, portable gold.

Accumulate gentlemen.

I have a 10k bag as it is unlikely to drop further and it'll be big IF they pull it off. But I have no clue how realistic it is. The people behind it are legit though. Longterm hold (if you hold at all) for sure
