Why so many people on /biz/ think what /makingit/ is related to having children somehow?
I thought people here should be smarter with their time and money.
When you decide to have children you invest shitton of money and at least 18 years of your time on something that will never recoup the cost of your investment, or yield any profit whatsoever.
Its also a high risk investment, because your kid can die, be born with defects, become a neet or some filthy criminal, or just be very stupid.
Also it goes with no returns policy, if you dont like it, you cant shove it back into the vagina.
Its just stupid to own a kid, from a logical perspective. It doesnt make any sense.
Waste shitton of money, time, dont get anything in return, and then call it "making it".
Prove me wrong. Protip: you cant.

I never heard somebody on /biz/ saying that.

Nevertheless, it's just an idea that's common and especially with women. Your life feels empty and so you think "well, if I try this one thing then maybe that's that what makes me whole." Also, it's expected by society, often by parents, etc. Some people also just like kids and are afraid of death. So that's that.

I'm also for waiting till your late 30's if you indeed want kids, and if you're a man.

Because unlike a lot of things in life, having children is an irreversible process that takes an enormous amount of patience and dedication. As much as society and parents don't want you to believe, your kids are your shining medals. They also reflect you in a way. So if you are a successful person and you know your shit, chances are that your children will grow up to be successful too, their children as well and so on and so forth. The possibility of having a successful and prestigious lineage is always enticing if you've got the stuff to create it.

But because humans lives are so short, you wont see any of that in your lifetime.

It was logical before socialism because you needed kids to take care of you when at old age. Nowadays people dont need a job or kids society takes care of everybody. At least that is the current expectation
