I'll say this again here...

as much as i hate to say it, as an advocate of 0xBitcoin, this coin is looking pretty dead. 3-4 weeks of bouncing between 0017-0018. 90% of it wash traded by mercatox, because that's the price they received the coins at. and then on top of that, no new buyers. and then on top of that... the general consensus across the cryptosphere is that this token is no different than any other erc-20, but the one defining difference is no use case, nor a platform. Just a community trying to reward itself off Bitcoin's name.

I really had high hopes for this token. But with everything I stated above, there's one more glaring issue-- the difficulty is too high to be profitable. And I know 0xBitcoiners love to say "it'll readjust, and itll be profitable again" and yeah it might, but it hasn't in almost a month because of....no new miners are coming in. And old miners are shifting their rigs to more profitable coins/tokens. It's a vicious feedback loop that's deteriorating the brand into nothing. So unless the community creates one of these provably fair games, an 0xBitcoin exchange, or something else to draw the attention of potential buyers... 0xBitcoin, sadly, is probably dead in the water. Even merge-mining, the communities answer to these faults, couldn't even spark the gears again. So honestly, I think it's time to start reevaluating your position inside this token.

Why is the difficulty being too high even a flaw? So what fuck the miners.

>it hasn’t mooned for 3-4 weeks
>dead

>deflationary token on ETH perfect store of value and speculative commodity on the future blockchain of the world and compatible with smart contracts
>no use case

Price has pretty much been at a steady floor for 1 month, seems like the opposite of dead. Its floor is double what it was 45 days ago ($0.45) and 10x what it was 100 days ago ($0.10). Just because it hasn't mooned doesn't mean it's a dead token. It's actually quite a strong indicator to me that the price is steady and not in that classic slow death phase.

> The general consensus across the cryptosphere is that this token is no different than any other erc-20
Not enough people even know what this token is for you to claim something like community consensus lmao... also how can a token both be "generic" and also the very first of its kind on Ethereum to be pure mined?

Yes, 0xBTC is not profitable to mine right now because of a large difficulty spike. But that has no effect on the token at all. Since you can still transfer tokens on Ethereum without 0xBTC reward blocks being minted, 0xBTC is immune to the "death spiral", which BTC is susceptible to. You can see on the stats page that out of the 1024 blocks needed for readjustment, only 74 remain. There is a hashrate floor from committed community members who mine on a loss so I'm not concerned. I also wouldn't be concerned if it took 6 months to readjust. That would just mean that very little new supply would be introduced for that time.

Every time man, they come in with FUD like 0xBTC can't transfer if there are no blocks mined... not realizing they're just giving more support to 0xBTC and the Ethereum platform on which it resides. Never any come back. Ever.

PoW on the ETH block created.
This process will surely help implement Plasma in the future. Also incentives the idea of PoS as the ETH network is starting to grow as there is now an alternative for miners.
0xBTC will become the smart contract commodity that can be traded. This will render LINK unneeded. Second Golden bull run will happen. New platforms and exchanges will be published. New games and programs specifically for 0xBTC will come out. People will begin to program things for 0xBTC.
The future is going to be awesome.

Big breakthrough by devs on the usage of 0xBitcoin as more than just a store of value, but as a programmable mining chain. For something like Lava wallet, which needs to delegate one relayers out of many to relay at a time, the PoW engine of 0xBitcoin can be used to make decisions like that. It's essentially a pseudo Proof of Authority, except authority is granted by Proof of Work reward solutions. It's the first engine of its kind on Ethereum and opens the door for a lot of options to further decentralization of the Ethereum network and the dapps that reside on it.

neat idea but it's still a worthless shitcoin and touting it as a "store of value" and "Internet currency" doesn't really mean shit when a 1000 coins have come and gone before it
