The November fork will open up so many possibilities!

I'll ignore the ad hominems and bullshitting and get to the point.
>Bitcoin cash is not the best project in existence
Name ONE crypto project which has some of the following in the works (or anything comparable in terms of actual real world adoption):
>Calvin Ayre (the first online casino billionaire) creating BCH-exclusive online casinos with tens of millions of marketing budget
>Same Calvin Ayre creating the biggest luxury SPA center in Antigua which only accepts BCH
>Roger Ver (another billionaire) doing similar adoption works in St Kitts
>Roger Ver talking to CEO-s of Japanese banks and stock markets about integrating BCH (and being invited by said CEO-s to do so)
>A top 200 website by Alexa ranking being dedicated to the coin's adoption
>0-conf support with multiple online merchants
>Significant purse.io discounts on ANY amazon purchase
>Having at least a dozen billionaires backing it (Ver, Ayre, Wu, Zhouer, 2-3 unnamed friends of Wu's, Brian Armstrong, etc)
>Having support of all the Bitcoin miners (the most influential figures in crypto)
>Having 500+ patents exclusively granted for use by BCH and no other blockchain
>The most popular mobile wallet on any appstore

Nothing is certain yet, some OP-codes are going to be re-enabled for sure, which may be enough for a VM like Ethereum's to be built on top of BCH. Simpler smart contracts will become easy to create.
Bitcoin Unlimited have been working on Graphene.
Bitcoin ABC have been working on Schnorr sigs.

It's pretty stupid to think that 0xBTC can supplant Bitcoin because it's confined to Ethereum. BTC is kind of the store of value in all of crypto, not just one particular network.

0xBTC will, however, likely take over ETH in value as people realize that Proof of Stake is unfair as shit (rewarding the rich we free ETH). 0xBTC is useful in Ethereum as a store of value since ERC20 tokens are compatible with smart contracts and dapps, but I honestly don't see it being THE Bitcoin.

Different use case. Eth is computing on the chain. BCH model is putting proof of computation on the chain. Eth model doesn't scale. You can not have every computer do computation to verify everything. The BCH model is you prove the computation was done, keep the chain itself clean.

What makes you think Ethereum can't be upgraded just like Microsoft upgraded Windows. Like hello? Hal Finney created Bitcoin. The bulk was not done by Craig Wright. Craig and Dave simply were early miniers and cypherpunks. BCH over BTC any day though. Blockstream and Lightning Labs are out to make BTC centralized. It's time to move on from Bitcoin.

That's not even true, there's a variety of programming languages that compile down into ETH... (Solidity, Serpent, LLL)

On the other hand there is only one higher level language that compiles to Bitcoin Script and that's Ivy...

Ethereum goes proof of stake, you need a store of value on the network.ETH wasn't meant to be the store of value. 0xBitcoin is that. BCH is centralized right now with blocks not filling up and fucking all the mining power is done by a couple people. It's a power struggle. Plus Roger Ver is involved with people to capitalize on BCH. Vigilante capitalism misleading everyone. Ethereum Classic is making a comeback with side chains and lot of good things going on now. ETH is also praised by Russia and they're looking into using something like it.

as far as i know Solidity is the only option, Serpent i don't know what is (maybe you mean Viper, which isn't done yet) and LLL seems to be something that compiles into Solidity (or later Viper). ill admit im no ETH expert though

what i mean about BCH supporting any language is that you only publish your proof of work on the blockchain, a hash of the code + its result. that's why it scales so well, all calculations are off-chain and anybody can verify any claim when they need or want to.

the scripting language in bitcoin is very basic, Forth-like. right now you can't really put scripts on the chain, the tx becomes non-standard so it doesn't relay between nodes. instead you keep you script off-chain and publish hashes of the scripts (and hashes of results).

eth and bch smart contracts can't be used exactly in the same way as far as i know but I don't think that will stop bch from being useful. it's really good for what it can do, prove that stuff have been done and transfer money, and nothing can ever slow it down (it does scale)

as for the next update in november i think they will enable on-chain tokens and relays of non-standard transactions (meaning non-standard output scripts). this is just a guess but from all ive read and heard it's those two things people want most on bitcoin (bch).

of course blocks aren't filling up on BCH, it's less than a year old and there's a massive smearing campaign going on. most people don't even know there are two versions of bitcoin. bitcoin cash getting 10% of both BTC's tx and hashpower is huge considering it's not even a year old. as for Roger Ver capitalizing, i dont think people understand how much money he have. he's been in bitcoin since 2011 and owns bitcoin.com, if he wanted to he could sit all day doing nothing and just watch the money roll in. instead he flies all over the planet just to try and give more economic freedom to people.

ETH going proof of stake is one of the reasons i really dont like eth anymore, if all the founders will make all the calls you might as well just put up a server somewhere and stick with traditional banks. proof of work at least allow rich guys that aren't the founders to come into the system and if the founders decide something stupid they will have a fork on their hands.

anyway bottom line is that simplicity is king and it doesn't get any simpler than the way bitcoin works. you never actually transfer anything, you just broadcast a state update + proof that you are allowed to change a state. cant break, scales.

> instead he flies all over the planet just to try and give more economic freedom to people.

Well, let's not kid ourselves and say he wouldn't make money off of increased BCH adoption. Like, a lot of money. And fame, which people crave.
