Mocking higher education is a coping method used by unsuccessful males. The reality that they arent smart enough to get into a college like I did is too painful to accept. I have my masters in psychology with a minor in political science and everyone around me can tell I am highly educated especially when it comes to politics. When high school drop outs say they are conservative I just have to chuckle, oh sweet child.

You need further education to gain acceptance from shekelstein and his goons, all you need to make it on your own is business acumen, ideas, drive and some investment.

Do people shitting on college actually believe what they say, or are they just coping with rejection/dropping out?

Just because the majority of high school dropouts are retarded doesn’t mean an intelligent person can’t make a lot of money without a post secondary education

I'm not sure. Even the idea of memeing about people who study non-stem esque stuff just disregards that the majority of employment opportunities nowadays seem to require a bachelor's. Certain degrees will be preferred in certain areas, but having a degree at all is the minimum in a lot of cases. You can argue that they didn't learn anything of value that gives them an edge over you with no degree and maybe you're right, but that doesn't change the reality of it.

This is also a fair point though bc most intelligent people might also go to college so the income statistic is skewed toward college bc they happen to be the intelligent people. Kind of a correlation does not imply causation type thing.

Went to a large state school in the midwest. I think median ACT was pretty much 30 and it was kind of shocking how many people, in my opinion, seemed absolutely clueless about the real world and their future ahead.

Don't get me wrong, still very smart kids, just absolutely no structure or plan for what they would be doing out of college or doing anything during college to support it (because desu, just having only a 4.0 with no extracurriculars will get you rejected from a fair amount of companies).

Way too many people going through the motions of what everyone else is telling them they should do.

Personally, while still expensive even for a public school with some financial aid, I'd say the opportunities for me to meet a wide range of diverse people allowed me to figure out how to act socially and to better understand the people around me. For others, I can't imagine they took advantage of this and will continue forward in life clueless as to where they go.
