what? all the fud about governance and centralization was realized beyond wildest predictions, nobody predicted that shitfest.
Dan decided things are fubar and came in with block.one's 100M eos, enough to vote 21BPs by himself. It doesn't get more centralized than that.

Design issues that nobody predicted in particular are becoming visible, especially the ponzi-like resource pricing. One airdrop was paused because of it. Dapp developers are getting angry. Pic related.

The security issues are a more long-term risk. Someone crashed eos with 0day soon after launch, but that didn't do much, too early. I wouldn't expect any hacks at least until shapeshift allows selling eos, probably not until it start to have dapps relying on it. For a hack to destroy the price - and make shorts wildly profitable - many people must be impacted to destroy trust. Most devastating after a high-profile dapp launch as many people will go margin long.

Steem has 2x as many transactions as ethereum and bitshares has about the same. Ethereum market cap is >100x
Worthless spam transactions are exactly that, worthless. Stats pumping, not real economic activity.

LOL there are no dapps and more than half of ram is already taken
Total Available: 64.00 GiB
Total Reserved: 43.45 GiB
Reserved: 67.89%
~ $1.180 USD per KiB
https://www.eosrp.io/

Supposedly some BPs are resisting increasing amount of ram because they are speculating themselves. Even if they increase total ram to 1TB it's only going to delay problems, not solve them.
EOSRAM is going to be a hilarious shitfest. Only EOS devs are smart enough to invent hilarious things like a ponzi-like ram market, but dumb enough to not realize how absolutely fucking dumb this is.

EOSRAM whales are there to help poor dapp developers! Read his fantastic offer:
>What I need is:
>1. Information on your cock sucking technique
>2. How much eosram you want in return
>3. How long can you suck
>4. Where do you live
>Process:
>1. I will evaluate your cock sucking technique. If it's amazing, we can agree on how many blowjobs I will require. If it sucks (badly), I will pass.
>2. You will kneel before me.
>3. You will unzip my zipper and start sucking on my penis.
>4. I will keep my penis in your mouth for the agreed duration or until you manage to make me cum.
>5. I will pull my penis out of your mouth and wish you good luck.
>6. You can swallow.

>NOTE WELL:
>Your cock sucking cost you basically nothing. My bag of EOS cost real $ and I will not be able to otherwise profit from them while they are staked for you. Expect to do lots of high-quality cock sucking.

>If you are ready, I am ready. Send a private message to me (@EOS117 on Telegram preferred) with all the info I need and let's make it happen today.

>The free market will always find a way!

I calculated it and ethereum costs about $11 for 1kB of state (640k gas@38 gwei per gas, current market rate because of some spamming by dumb exchange). $0.289/gwei gas price which is feasible once the exchange stops spamming with votes.
EOS is currently ~$1.204 USD per KiB.

In one-two days contract state on eos is going to be more expensive than state on ethereum.

Maybe. Ponzi works in the other direction too, you have to exit before all other speculators.
There's also a risk that BPs are going to suddenly increase ram, 64GB is not that much.
It's going to be way safer with 1TB as it's much harder and more expensive to add much more ram after that.

The best thing about eosram ponzi is that completely fucks new dapp developers. Normal platform starts with ~zero fees because nobody uses it at the beginning. This allows easy and very affordable experimentation. Not on eos.

So an exchange (that is also a block producer) known for massive wash trading is allowing deposits only without withdrawal. AT BEST this is fraudulent price manipulation.
