Oh fuck. Now he is a guy I will listen to.
Not because he is some Warren Buffet but because he actually really knows what's going to happen.
He makes it happen

Can you explain what you mean by this? Who the fuck is this guy? And what coins should I be buying?

>> No.10050657

They were all like "2018 will be huge for cyrpto", then it failed and they're moving the prediction to 2019. And it will fail again.

Well to be fair to this guy, I still don't know if I should trust him but check this out:

>January 1, 2013: "My big prediction for 2013: this will be the year of Bitcoin. Look it up..."

https://twitter.com/barrysilbert/status/286184183339048960

BTC was $13 on 1/1/2013 when he posted that. It hit over $1100 that year.

Barry Silbert is, well he is huge.
He is connected to everything and everyone in crypto.
Have you heard of Coinbase?
Digital currency group, Bitcoin Investement Fund, Shapeshift, Second Market (got bought by Nasdaq),Blockchain Capital. These are just couple of his businesses and main investements.
He is huge and literally almost none knows this.

Ok, so what coins do you think I should accumulate to prepare for this? Just bitcoin and ETH or what about alts?

We should probably find out whatever the fuck Barry Silbert is holding. We need some FBI autists to make his addresses known.

As to the coins, I'm not sure.
He and Ver are close so BCH?
ETC(after the listing on Coinbase) ?
I'm really not sure which coins, but if he says it's going to be huge he may mean regulations (Coinbase and SEC connections are his doing) as well.
In other words: this dude makes this market. When he says shit you better listen.
The mind map here is related.

huh.. it almost sounds like these scammers need more suckers for the ponzi

I just did some checking out of his twitter. Seems as if he posts a lot about ETC. No doubt he's holdin' some

I'm slowly buying ETC and BCH along with ETH and BTC because of what I'm seeing on the market.
Who exactly is playing I'm not sure, but the moves are weird this year.
I'm concentrating on BTC and ETH still with ETC and BCH being just a hedge for possible shenanigans.

Mainly crunchbase, but it started with a few articles that I read and decided to map the connections.
Then I went on the crunchbase and checked the websites of the businesses. That map is an early version and we even had a discord group but I got busy with real life and couldn't continue with the research.
This is all readily available online. You can check the connections. Dotted lines = investments and solid lines = some kind of role(usually a founder) in the business.
There are a very few people in crypto that are really big. Sinker happens to be the biggest one.
There are a lot of coins where the team is "literally who" and then you look into the advisors and see the light.
Paradox was an example.
Check Augur and their team and then check the advisory board.
Then go and check which coins/funds the advisors belong to.
I have a strong suspicion that often the advisors are the real owners and the team is a rent-a-face.
That's what I did with everything on this map.
Augur is the least surprising here.

Here is some info on Barry
https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.forbes.com/sites/nathanvardi/2018/02/07/barry-silbert-coinbase-ripple-digital-currency-group-crypto-cryptocurrency/amp/
https://www.crunchbase.com/person/barry-silbert#section-overview

That's not all that he does of course.
Coinbase, he isn't just an investor in.
Also Coindesk...I mean I can go on lol
The info may be hard to dig out cause there is a lot of rent-a-face going on, but it's there.

>Nostradamus Gambit

Calling it now, in September /biz/ is in for a BIG "surprise".
Screenshot this. Don't say you weren't warned.

Also, totally unrelated, a celebrity that we all thought we knew and loved will announce a startling thing about their relationship to Donald Trump.

And, but this is also unrelated, there's going to be a very devastating weather event in Africa very soon. You'll know it when you hear it.

>see how easy this shit is OP?

Silbert says it's going to be big, you can trust it's going to be.
He isn't just some TA fag or some nobody crypto celebrity.
Pay attention when he says something.
The best proof is itt
Hardly anyone knows who he is.

How about you read my fucking post before you answer!
Irrespective of the guys credentials a single fucking vague tweet is not to be used as a signal for an entire asset classes future movements. More to the point if he's balls deep in crypto then it's in his interest to stoke up interest even if the 'fundamentals' (for want of a better crypto equivalent word) don't support his predictions. He stands to lose a lot of money!

It's incredibly easy to make vague declarations of some massive event coming when you don't specify the causes and then retroactively be proven right. Haven't you ever seen a fortune teller at work? Haven't you ever heard of the Barnum Effect? Haven't you ever heard someone else's recollection of events and been amazed that they've tied it together in a way that creates a Gestalt that is totally different to your own, but is made of the same events?

>> No.10051190

>>10051094
I did read your post and you missed the point of my response. The point was that he is the one moving that market. He is the one that has the SEC connections and he is the one setting the price(not alone of course, but he is one of the biggest players, not whales, but actual players and movers of this market.
I don't disagree that he did it for selfish reasons or that it's vague.
But just read his tweet from 2013 and see what happened to the price.
This dude has a huge ego not because he is balls deep in crypto, it's because, to a large degree he controls and manipulates this market, and I guess likes to remind everyone of that fact from time to time.
People who know who he is understand that.
This market is dictated by Bitman and co.and Silbert and co.
The prices that you see on the charts are set by cooperation (or sometimes the lack thereof), not moved by "market sentiment"
So in this sense this guys credentials are literally responsible for an entire asset class future movement.
