Elon Musk is initiating the TESLA pump protocol.

Popular brokers for stock trading:

Robinhood
>commission free and no minimum to open

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

Been doing some thinking and a bit of theoretical math based on what I think they're going to do. Basically you're going to want to get in right around $0.25, AFTER the reverse split. They're going to try to push it up to around $2 to give themselves some breathing room from NASDAQ's $1 requirement, so something like a 9 or 10 per share consolidation, but that'll just make the bears push it down harder since it gives their current shorts much more room to grow while they add to it. *not saying I put my savings in the stock market, but all I saved to put into the market is in there now.

at the center of every galaxy is a cluster of supermassive black holes and one absolutely titanic black hole.
These are the types with the star-like accretion disks orbiting them.
You can see in this photo of the Andromeda galaxy that it does in fact look like a star.

However, you want to know what the bare black hole looks like to the naked eye. Again, this is impossible to know.
when a bare black hole eclipses something, a peculiar effect known as "gravitational lensing" occurs.
Essentially, whatever light is directly behind the black hole gets unrecognizably distorted and wrapped around the event horizon of the black hole, almost like how reflections get warped around the whirlpool in a sink drain, just in 3 dimensions.

Why are these tech companies with P/E ratios in the 100s considered good at the price? Like look at amazon, they are priced in to 10x their earnings vs blue chip stocks that pay dividends. Do people really think amazon is going to become 10x more profitable in a reasonable time frame? Same thing with Netflix. Hell, TSLA is priced in to make double the amount of cash it is currently burning. How do these share prices make any sense?

10x earnings does not mean it is expected to increase ten-fold soon. The earnings multiplier is a market measurement of viability and expectation into the future. Two stocks could be expected to double in value over the next 5 years and have a difference of 10x in share value depending on industry and long term scaling. Very few investments operate on a 1 to 1 EPS share value, that would be insane.

It would be difficult to see a normal black hole with the naked eye, especially if you mean the "black" part of a black hole. To be clear, no black holes have been directly observed, only inferred.

However the larger the black hole the easier be to see. I say "eaiser" to mean eaiser to see at a distance that wouldn't destroy you. If you double the mass of a black hole, it gets twice as easy to see and you can get four times closer without being destroyed. So extremely large black holes would be eaiser to see than, say, a black hole the mass of the sun. I'm also talking about the light distortion field, not the black hole itself. I think for any black hole, if you can see the black part if it, you're about to be destroyed. And the bigger the black hole, the harder it is to get close enough to see the black part.

Of course its not going to be 1 to 1 but I am trying to get a grasp of what everyone is hoping for. My thought process is "For this price to make sense, this company is expected to make this much money in the future." Even to be considered a "maturing" tech company like google with a 30ish P/E, amazon would have to quadruple its earnings. And that's if its share price does not move.

I get so depressed when I think about people just accepting established tech stocks @ 100 P/E on the promise of "growth". In the short run, the market is like a voting machine--tallying up which firms are popular and unpopular. But in the long run, the market is like a weighing machine--assessing the substance of a company. As the acceptable horizon for generating earnings to match your price increases, the amount of time the market stays a voting machine increases. The amount of speculation and over extension increases. This can only lead to the difference between the voting and weighing machine to increase. The bigger the difference, the more devastating the surprise when the weight comes in. Quarterly reports do little to help. Because earnings can be inflated through accounting tricks, the only weighing seems to come from a catalytic event that forces the market to response. Why wasn't our system designed to have internal checks and balances on this insanity? How can this lead to anything but a devastating crash?

The way I look at it, but not necessarily the thing I believe, is that if you invest in a bluechip stock the only way to go is down. Ford aren't going to moon mission ever again. Theoretically what's to stop Adidas or Puma (part owned by Kering) from taking away half of Nike's revenue? What if Justin Beiber - that cunt - starts a sneaker company that does for sneakers what Beats by Dre did for oversized headphones?

But with Amazon, who have already gone from book seller to cloud computing could theoretically disrupt many more industries and has so much more growth to make. They are just as likely to disrupt the bluechips as be disrupted themselves. In short, they are the most likely to grow.
Now of course if you look at it through fundamentals and study the management teams you'll form your own opinions on which tech companies are overpriced and which blue-chips are vulnerable.

Also for those of you with small accounts and want to trade options, look into tastytrade, they have the best options interface right now and you can watch their videos to learn how to do spreads and stuff. They will let you short options as spreads and butterflies with very little capital.

For example you can buy a naked put on the spy but that would be about 2k, however if you did a vertical call spread you would only spend around 50 bucks. Their interface allows you to see the probability of profit and time curves very easily in order to understand the greeks.

Even if you dont open an account at least look into the videos they have on options trading, the guys are professional and the creators of think or swim.

The math is the easy part since it's a very rough estimate anyway. It's literally just basic arithmetic based on what I think HMNY and investors are going to do. I could very easily see it going below $0.20, but I won't be able to do a closer estimation until I at least know what they're going to consolidate by. Earlier I was thinking 9 or 10, but now I'm thinking 12 or 13. Anyway, the biggest point is that it will very quickly get pushed down into the kinds of numbers we're seeing now (0.20 range) after they try to consolidate above $2. Like it's going to be right back here within a couple days, after ~50% drops. HMNY will survive through this though and there will be massive gains to be made by those who get in when everyone else thinks its in its death throes.

Lets say HMNY is exactly $0.20 when they consolidate by 10. That means every stock will become worth $2.00, but if you had 10 stocks, you now only have 1. Nothing about this process moves the value in either direction. It's just a death knell that makes investors want to get out, so the price will almost always drop from it. I'm saying that HMNY's drop will be so bad that they'll be back down to where they were before the consolidation.

I dunno what you should be looking at right now. I ignore a large majority of the market and just focus on a couple volatile stocks at a time to swing trade. Just play with some blue chips and ETFs until you get the hang of it.

With both the U.S. and China having win conditions and loss conditions (some of which I haven't 100% identified); we've got about 1-4 months

China's loss condition lies in real estate, America's loss condition lies in the constriction of essential materials being refined by businesses/national debt

Trump has probably understood that he couldn't win the trade war, for the same reason the US couldn't win the Vietnam war. Also, the chinese don't devaluate to prop up their markets (their stocks are nothing for the party but a glorified casino they have to put up with due to treaties, they don't give much of a fuck about it), they devaluate to negate the effect of tariffs.

Yesterday, Trump had to deal with a litteral icon of american manufacturing (H-D) announcing they are losing 100 millions and are going to outsource due to the trade war.
On a side, you have a monolith of a political and economical engine that can act as one (because effectively they are one), and on the other side you have a president in an election campaign and companies that are laying people off due to his trade policies.

GE is just a hot mess. 2 years ago their CEO stated that they were going to teach every single employee how to code. They want to be a software company. Meanwhile their employees get wasted at 4pm and forgot that they never gave their b2b customers the 10,000 machine they never produced but still sold at full cost.

In a way, GE's case may be comparable to GSK: a venerable company that resorted to M&A to spur growth and satisfy CEO's hubris.

As long as the debt is serviceable and the non-core business assets can be sold, GE may indeed turn around.

It would be interesting to see the interest expenses GE can save by paying off their debts.

>out of 6 stocks BRK.B is dead last in gains today

I respect Buffett, I really do, but Berkshire seems to have grown too big and has fallen victim to the "law of large numbers" in that it just can't make gains as quickly as smaller, more optimized / focused funds.
