It's the same with germophobes or any other irrational fear. People run with the latest fear like zebras running with the herd. It use to be witches, exorcism, or some coming apocalypse. Now you have economic collapse and some mix of nwo/elite/tyranny or just "they". Rational fears like early death from obesity or heart disease don't sell newspapers.
