If the gov debt gets downgraded (which it should have already at this point but ratings agencies are pussies) then it will definitely cause short-term chaos. I'm pretty sure a lot of fixed-income funds can't hold below AAA. So, if the us gov is no longer AAA.... you do the math...

Yeah it's under the research tab under bonds/fixed income. There's a yield table that shows you the highest or median yields by type/rating and duration. Interface is kinda clunky compared to stock trading and I'm sure they're pocketing some money on bid-ask spreads (all orders are OTC) but buy orders fill very fast for treasuries and there is a wide variety of corporate/muni debt you can buy too if you want to go that route.
