something simple would be cool, though it needs a weird spin to it to catch attention.

maybe a game about deforestation where the focus is on consuming down tiers of bamboo with an ever increasing panda army as you proceed and a super hard fantastical boss at the end of each forest in which you lead pandas similar to cookie clicker.

I saw something like it before on /f/ with a basic menu game where there was levels of material to mine through, randomly you would receive more boosts to increase efficiency in successfully mining, the amount you can do, how fast you can go etc. You can obviously expand on this or simplify it.
