Consider the fact that Monero has probably some of the most viable usage as currency for big (clandestine or otherwise) purchases and the fact that Monero is generally less volatile than shitcoins starts to make some sense. In a scenario where a buyer and seller agree to terms on a deal (let's say a purchase of goods that cost $5M. to be paid in XMR) there is significant incentive for the buyer and the seller, especially the seller, to place enough XMR sell orders on an exchange to ensure the price remains stable until the goods have changed hands and the seller has cashed out to BTC/fiat.

I suspect that this kind of price fixing occurs regularly with Monero because it's one of the only cryptocurrencies that is actually being used as intended. Eventually retail interest should catch up to this kind of market manipulation.

Actually even if your IP was leaked (it isn't necessarily, this is dispelled FUD) there still would be no way to prove what happened on the blockchain unless you had a private key or a viewkey for the transaction.

Why does every coin that is endlessly shilled on /biz/ eventually turn to absolute shit?

i could go on and on, the only people who made money on these coins are the folks who shorted them at the right time.
