The secret is to dismiss 99% of coins but still keep an open mind, not caring about what other say and make your own opinion.

You need few rules however:
>never invest in indian coins
>never invest in asian coins
>never invest in eastern yuro coins
>never invest in teams where the boss is >40 yo
>never invest in forks
>never invest in a side-project for a business
>never invest in projects which can't explain clearly what they do in a short paragraph or use big words to try to look sophisticated

Ultimately it's not that hard, the problem many people have is that they do not really understand what are fundamentals, don't understand crypto or they're trying to play the chart too hard.
If you buy a coin in order to earn more BTC or $ you already lost, a project should be so good that you don't see yourself think about selling its coin before a decade.
