Almost everything involved with real estate from mortgages, construction, materials, foreign investment, you name it accounts for a large portion of Australia's GDP.
This is the reason why the government is quite lenient with people from abroad moving over and swallowing up large portions of our land in to their portfolio.
Australia is fucking useless for making money off anything but selling what we have on this land, we don't even manufacture shit it's a joke, all outsourced to Asia.
