You should read http://www.feynman.com/science/the-challenger-disaster/

I'll TL;DR this for you as the "PowerPoint Problem". This problem comes up in bureaucratic organizations where information is reported upwards. At each level, information is both stripped out in the aim of summarization, and information is massaged to make the reporting person's personal kingdom look better. So for instance in the Challenger disaster, the engineers at the lowest levels were screaming red alert, this thing is going to explode, while at the highest levels, the bureaucrats were getting reports that said "thumbs up". Now keep in mind this was 30 years ago. Our bureaucracies have not improved their competence or their ethics in those decades, rather they have decayed.

>Silver after that can get you food or selter if needed.
In a civil emergency you ought to not depend on bartering 1 ounce rounds for drinking water. Unironically fiat bills would be a better plan for that. Silver is medium to long term. As far as funs go, big agree but not everybody can get one in their current situation, which is why I say defense tools. Especially if you're going to bug in, there are plenty of things you can do to make intruders go away for very cheap.

IF the new currency is stable. If they lop off three zeros and continue the same policies, well....

>>30171046
Pricing is about 50:1 so that suggests buying more silver now while it's cheap.

From Bong Land- Atkinsons Bullion blog: https://atkinsonsbullion.com/news/march-2021/investors-make-good-use-of-gold-price-drop

The price of gold has dropped by around 10% since the start of the year.
After kicking off 2021 at around £1,391, the precious metal has seen a steady decline, and hit a low of £1,247 on Friday 26th February.
So, the question must be asked: has gold lost some of its shine?
One recent large trigger for gold has been the rising 10-year Treasury yields in the USA, as well as a stronger US dollar.
As traders focused on a recovery from the Covid-19 pandemic and higher treasury yields, gold became less competitive.
The European markets have been more optimistic due to cases of coronavirus dropping and a quicker than expected vaccine deployment, as well as healthy manufacturing data, which has also impacted gold negatively.
Recent heavy demand for silver has also influenced the price.

>also chains, diamonds, jewellery in general are just jewish tricks, fuck that, we just want to stack
I think that there is a case to be made for jewelry as a means of exfiltrating wealth from one jurisdiction to another. Consider having a gold chain that has links that are an exact fraction of an ounce of gold. Remove a link, sell for local currency. Iced up Sicilian chainz wif platinum gun pendants are NOT that, of course.

>I thought the same then an actual disaster happened and 556 was unobtanium and was insanely priced vs comblock into the summer of 2020
Yeah it was right about this time last year that I was stacking my ammo and preparing my will. I was no-shit thinking we were going to see double digit casualty percentages. I still think it's unwise to rely on import ammo because it's vulnerable to political winds. .30-30 Win is well over $3/round right now, that's what 7.62 Commie would be if the imports dried up.

Yes, I've bought quite a lot of them recently directly. You have to sign up and create a 'wallet' with the Mint, adding funds to your wallet then lets you purchase from them - very easy.
Their prices on Britannias and Valiants has increased TODAY on top of their usual premium over spot by approximately £1 per coin :(

Being happy about reddit homos helping is perfectly consistent with calling reddit cringe. Your feelings matter too much, you need to go back.

Britbong here. Thanks for advice.
I've just ordered ten 1/10 oz Britannia coins from a UK dealer who has them in stock. £146.50 each delivered. That's about £9.50 premium per coin over buying 1 oz coins.
