get coinbase, then get verified on gdax and use gdax to buy, btc, eth, ltc.
transfers and buys are basically free on gdax
sign up for binance/bitrex for altcoin options.
they both have their advantages and disadvantages so do research.
cryptowat.ch is a GREAT charting tool, but i think it's $15 a month so theres that.
also, kraken bought cryptowatch and now owns it, so you get free charting from cryptowatch for kraken's trading pairs if you have an account, but the actual trading engine is dogshit. I'm hoping they will improve it so they can actually handle the volume they get, but that and they're integration with cryptowat/ch is a big project and will probably take a while. if they sort their shit out however, it would be one of the best all in one platforms out there.
also, tradingview is another major charting tool that many use, even better than cryptowat.ch, and you can post your charts for others to see and follow other people's charts and posts, but again, i think this has a monthly subscription fee
ICO flipping is a common thought people here have but is risky, and you must be absolute in your profit taking or else you'll get fucked. do an assessment before you buy in of what kinds of gains you are expecting based on researching the company, the problem they solve, the size of the market, how good the company is etc, and cash out a MINIMUM of 1/2 your position at your marker and DO NOT put more money back in, then stack your profit taking and be happy with what you got, "hypothetical gains" are a figment of your imagination and will poison your mindset and portfolio faster than anything else.other than that, take time, be patient, develop strategies for long term holds and stack orders.
time in market>timing the market
look for large trends, use daily chart to get a sense of overall, eth bull flag, and xmr bottoms (included picture) as example
buy high, sell low,
don't fomo buy,
stay rational
missed gains are better than actual losses

why on earth would you set a sell order for a price past the breakout level at 395?
should have realized that if we hit had a clean breakout we were about to make a big move
