During previous conflicts prisoners of war would be told to move a stack of bricks/rocks to another location 50ft away. Once they had move them all, they were told to move them back. The greeks wrote mythology about this practice. Sisyphus would roll a rock up a hill only to have it roll back down. He was condemned to do this for eternity. I guess its not so bad, cause at least we eventually die.
