there are loads of deposits out there that could be mined, Alexco (which just got bought out by Hecla mining) in Keno Hill Yukon is sitting on one of the largest silver lead zinc deposits out there. The issue is that these deposits are getting harder to find, their smaller than the old ones, and their often more difficult to mine or access due to remote locations. Add in the decade of little mine building that happened and its a perfect storm for metals to sky rocket. Copper is in the same boat, zinc too. We simply didnt see any major investment into new untapped mines.
