Look bud, chips die after about five to ten years due to heat cycling, so people and businesses will always be replacing their equipment.
Even if consumers suddenly decided not buy a thing with a transistor, it would not be enough to trigger a damaging downturn. The bulk of money in the semi industry is not from the desktop, it's massive datacenters and industrial applications.

You're being swindled. You can't make that sort of inference off a percentage distribution without also having a chart with the raw $$$ as well.
What that graph shows is not a so much that consumer demand for semiconductors is dying (lol wut), but that the industrial, automotive and communications are of course using more chips, so perhaps you should buy some of those growth stocks before they really take off.
