well this is what im doing right now, and i think its worth saying so that someone else might do the same as well
metal can ring-pulls. theyre great for tallying things, for a few reasons. theyre a great way of having an abacus

scenario: you buy a gold coin or fossil, whatever it is you buy
you go out after (storing it etc.) and buy a canned drink. now, for each thing you buy, you have "one to the tally" at home; your collection - more valuable than these ringpulls - doesnt have to be at home - but it still is, in this form. this is one of the reasons for it being good
another reason is that its still metal and so it still has scrap value/resale to mix in with your metal cans (aluminium)
i think that this amount is enough for tallying almost anything. each ringpull can equal 1, 10, 100, pennies, pounds, notes

its also aesthetic and feels good to hold a stack of them
