It is really fucking annoying. I have to tell my gf to stop and not tip because she wants to every time she's prompted. I'm like.. no, we're already paying for this food and picking it up, this is just a grift scheme from their corporation so they don't have to pay their employees as much.

Here's the timeline of tipping in America

>tipping doesn't exist
>sometime, people start to pay servers and waitstaff a little extra for great/above and beyond service
>at some point it becomes expected to tip for any form of decent service
>at some point it becomes expected to tip servers/waitstaff for all service
>now the expectation goes from 15% to 20 and 25%
>now everyone who does anything for you thinks they should get a tip for doing the thing you're already paying them to do

It's absurd, fuck it all
