Well I guess on the bright side, if they just wanted to exit scam they'd have done it already. But if they keep dilly-dallying like this, some other app-based crypto project is going to emerge, steal their ideas, and overtake them...

Nobody knows where Pi will go once it hits exchanges but it's as good a shot as any obscure shitcoin.

Extremely unlikely. They've been delisted from the playstore once and been under close scrutiny ever since. Building an entire Cryptocurrency infrastructure in order to grab some data that could have just as easily been mined by some copy paste freemium game is highly convoluted and inefficient.

Maybe the project will collapse or your 10k Pi stack will peak at 10$ before Pi bleeds into obscurity like Electroneum did. But there is no scenario where you come out with a net loss. All you have to do is press a button every 24h, that's it. You'll be able to operate nodes by the end of Q1 2020 if you want to contribute more strongly.

The data from the transfer pilot (90k+ users) is in and the results are shocking: actual goods and services are being sold via the network and apparently the average Pi value the parties agreed upon during these transactions was ~1$. That's an absolutely ridiculous evaluation, given the massive current token supply (1B+), the over-all premined token supply (20-30B) and the fact that even with the current base mining rate of 0.4 Pi/h users mine several Pi every day. Realistic target values for the Pi listing range somewhere in the 0.001-0.1$ range, most likely on the lower end. Conclusion: Pi Network users are delusional about the future token price and are willing to sell products with real value for what are penny-equivalents at most. Now here's the best part: The marketplace for all users will be fully established before the exchange listing takes place. If you get in now you will probably have the chance to buy 1000s of dollars worth of products from delusional normies for tokens that have currently no value whatsoever and are steadily air-dropped into your account every single day.
