As a Vietnamese, i was raised on the idea of skepticism towards the government. The socialist party of Vietnam is crooked and corrupted. My parents started to believe in the US government ever since we move here. But I'm still skeptical of the system. I've been proven right so many times.
Furthermore I fucking hate commies. To further your point about maintaining tradition, with a few billions, maybe i can go back to my home country and have politicians suicide themselves, clean up the system a bit. Give money to the people in the area. Stay the fuck there and live like how my ancestors would like their posteriors to live.
