2 million isn't rich these days, it's middle class.
20 is reasonably wealthy. there's no boundary at 50, that's still a quarter million people in a world full of nonwhites, not exclusive enough, not much wealthier than 20 million.

don't think too much of it. $1,000,000 isn't a lot of money anymore.

the only numbers that matter are the numbers of people capable of outspending you for ever scarce resources, and that number is only growing regardless of the global market conditions.
