Thanks for the take, I've been meaning to discuss one other thing I didn't understand in the LinkPool whitepaper. It's pic related, and it references the following article:

Where 19,000 people told Sergey they'd like to be node operators. That was around ICO time, before LinkPool was even conceived. Isn't it safe to assume that LinkPool will be dominating a lot of that node operator interest (as hobby operators use LinkPool to stake instead of running their own servers), which would
>decrease the estimated number of nodes
>therefore increase total requests per node
>therefore increase node profitability
Am I just a brainlet or was their estimate even more conservative than it looks?

Nodes are being paid in LINK. LinkPool is predicting that companies will measure their oracle pricing in fiat and not in LINK, so you'll be getting smaller and smaller amounts of LINK as the token price rises, as opposed to more and more money.
