When fossil fuels become scarce in the near future, electricity prices will increase exponentially. Your life will fundamentally change.

AI will end at this time. Any of your sacred progress will be completely wiped out by high energy prices, which is an absolute certainty. Data centers will be abandoned.

Oh, and "AI" is a complete investor meme. Things don't get "better and better", there just either is an abundance of energy that causes an energy complexity spiral, or there's not. We're currently in an energy complexity spiral which allows for completely superfluous human activity like wasting time to write software to make computers trick people into thinking they aren't inanimate objects.
