But don't do them any more than once a month, even that is probably pushing it
Not because of any side effects necessarily but because it might put you into a mode of consumption-based happiness

If you're a druggie/casual alkie like I was then the best thing you can do to improve your drive/ability to make money is don't drink more than one beer/standard drink per week and get good sleep (or at least wake up at the same time every day

That will do like 50% of the work, the other 50% is freeing yourself from this mode of consumptive happiness, ie, "I want to be happy right now -> ok I must eat something/drink something/take something/do behavior" instead of just attempting to be comfortable in the moment
